Stacy Austin moved to Santa Cruz in 2001 with her husband, son and two dogs. She resigned from her position in the high-tech industry and focused her time working in a volunteer capacity at Soquel PENS, Happy Valley Elementary, Little League and Santa Cruz Mountains Cycling to name a few, while also obtaining her AS degree in Accounting. After joining the Distinct team in 2013, Stacy obtained certification as a Certified Community Association manager and in 2015 earned her California Real Estate Sales license. Before her work at Distinct, Stacy was the Fiscal Manager for the Walnut Avenue Women’s Center, a $2M non-profit organization, where she oversaw all aspects of the Center’s finances including the preparation of the annual budget, creation of monthly financial statements and cash flow analysis.
Stacy developed her strong communication skills and project management expertise while at Brooks Properties where she worked as the Construction Cost Accountant assigned to various multi-million-dollar construction projects. Stacy furthered her project management skillset by overseeing and coordinating the construction of her new home in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Stacy developed discipline and technical skills while serving in the US Air National Guard as a Staff Sergeant maintaining a variety of electronics systems on military aircraft.
