Nora Brink graduated from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, with degrees in Communication, Law and Political Science in 2001. Upon relocating to San Francisco, she began her property management career at UMB Corp, a developer and the largest condominium owner in the City. At UMB, Nora managed 300 high-end live/work loft condos in six complexes with an annual rental income of $9,000,000 taking them from their certificate of completion to full occupancy. She successfully implemented new business processes that resulted in revenue increase of 22% while overseeing administrative, accounting, and maintenance staff.
In 2009, Nora moved to Santa Cruz and began working with William Brooks at Brooks Properties. She assumed responsibility for the management of Branciforte Commons, an under-performing apartment complex, as well as the management and leasing activities of other investment properties. Nora has gained extensive knowledge in the management of below market rate (BMR) housing units, both Santa Cruz’s Measure O Program, as well as HUD’s Housing Voucher program. She has established and maintains strong working relationships with the administrators at both of these agencies.
Nora earned her Real Estate Sales license in 2005 and her Real Estate Brokers license in 2012. Nora currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Public Libraries. She also volunteers annually to host the Logjam, a surfing competition and fundraising drive for local charitable organizations.
