Alex Dapkus is a Santa Cruz native but ventured away in 2012 to pursue her bachelors in psychology at University of San Diego. Sunny San Diego stole her heart for almost seven years where she worked in both hospitality and providing therapy to children with developmental and behavioral disorders.  Feeling a great aspiration to give back to her hometown community and start a family, she moved back to Santa Cruz in 2018.  It was then when she began working at Si Se Puede, a residential treatment program through Encompass Community Services.  In her role as clinician, she supported individuals focused on issues surrounding recovery from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.  There she learned the importance of compassion and connection to community as well as further developed her skills of leadership and organization.

After her son Daniel was born in June 2020, she decided it was time for a career change. What better a time to pursue her interest in real estate and property management? She is confident that her efficient and innovative approach to problem solving will bring value to the community and Distinct.

Nothing brings her more joy than taking walks at the beach with her son, dog Eloise, and significant other Maxwell.  When they aren’t at the beach, they are at the park, or at home reading or playing cards.

Alex successfully passed the DRE Sales License exam in the Spring of 2022.
